What lets me know when a student will become a good driver is their ability to adjust their speed. As you are driving whether in the street or on the freeway there are things going on around you. If the student automatically adjusts their speed for cars making turns or changing lanes, I know they are paying attention. We are not just driving our vehicles we are also responding to other drivers on the roadway and contemplating their actions.

The better a student handles this, is a major indicator of their personal skill level. The better the student reads the traffic the better overall driver they will be. They always turn out to be better drivers and usually have an easier time come behind the wheel test day.
